The elegant Fenchurch Street Bar and Grill on Level 37 of the nicknamed Walkie Talkie building of London‘s Fenchurch Street.
Contemporary interiors while the menu offers only the finest oysters, fish and crustacean as well as seasonal game, meat and vegetarian dishes.
The wine list, sourced with guidance from renowned master of wine Christopher Donaldson and boasting an impressive New World range. Cocktail connoisseurs are well catered for too with a menu that specialises in whiskey – alongside much-loved London classics.
From the menu I selected the following options;
Cured sea trout Jersey royals, wild asparagus & Aquitaine caviar
Cod broad beans, goat’s curd, heritage tomato, speck & lemon verbena
Strawberry doughnuts buttermilk, lime ice cream & honeycomb
The Fenchurch Street Bar and Grill sits atop the Sky Garden with views over London and faces the Shard. This isn’t budget dining, rather coming here is part of the experience of enjoying the venue and the views, but I admit it was an excellent experience.
