The modern Misk Hotel was opened in 2010 and is less than 7 km from Amman‘s centre.
I’m rather impressed by the modern entrance, clean and shiny, with decent sized rooms to match. There is enough space to store your bags, and the bathroom has good use of space for its size, the showers are strong and hot.
The location has many nearby hotels, with many travel agents and airline offices nearby, but like the rest of Amman, there is no social place to spend your time watching the world pass. Though taxis are very cheap and easy to get around, it is the only way to get around Amman.
The Misk Hotel is great value and has excellent standards, with free wifi (though not the strongest signal or the fastest) and breakfasts included (but fabulous and very basic at best).
Overall the stay was excellent and this hotel delivered above my expectations and good was value. It makes a good base for exploring Amman.
