Aqaba Gulf Hotel has a great location and a great outdoor pool area, but rooms are showing wear and look a little tired.
Rated a 4-star hotel, Aqaba Gulf Hotel felt more like a 3 star, and though clean and comfortable was dated and overpriced compared to other newer options in the area. On the good side, it is licenced and has happy hour evenings with decent priced drinks and snacks.
The bed was very comfortable and liked the small seating area. The rooms are in need of updating, despite its own website stating they are up to date, and the carpet was stained in places but overall clean. Wi-fi is an extra charge which makes this particularly expensive stay.
Aqaba Gulf Hotel caters to the package holiday and many tour companies use this hotel. Ideal, but not perfect in comparison to value vs price, it could be more competitive in its current state.
