A few years after it first opened its doors, Fishbar on Ossington Street in Toronto still delivers a fine catch and selection of seafood tapas.

The menu reinvents seafood with unique combinations of ingredients that break with tradition. Seafood enthusiasts are certain to taste something new here.

The grilled sardines with balsamic reduction and mint pesto sounds unusual but really delivers in taste. I especially like the idea of fresh oysters. All the fish served is sustainably sourced.

A first look at the menu already says your in for something completely different from other seafood restaurants, and different is great! They also have a special happy-hour menu and bring-your-own-wine nights – follow them on twitter for news.

In all my travels I haven’t come across anything as different as this – if you love a taste of the sea – Fishbar is a great catch!
