Zfreeti Hotel is an excellent stay and good choice for exploring ancient Bagan.
This a very new hotel in Nyaung U, but is a very good choice for visiting the nearby temples of Bagan. I think is excellent value considering there is a pool and all rooms are a clean and very good size. I also like that it is only one block away from the main road which has an excellent choice and selection of places to eat.
The minus points are the lack of electric outlets for powering or charging your devices. Again, as in Yangon, I didn’t get the room I paid for, instead of double I was given a twin room, which I feel is cluttered when is just one person in the room – but I rarely spent time in the room, I was well pleased to find it modern and well equipped.
Breakfast was on the roof terrace and can be little chilly, but a good spot to see the balloons over Bagan while having breakfast – but nothing special, they do however make every effort to enhance your comfort.
Zfreeti Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Shwezigon Pagoda. The hotel is a 10-minute drive to Manisithu Market and a 20-minute drive to Nyaung U Airport. Situated in the heart of Nyaung-U, Zfreeti Hotel is close to Shwezigon Pagoda, Htilominlo Temple, and Ananda Temple. Also nearby are Thatbyinnyu Temple and Dhammayangyi Temple.
