A short visit to Dubai

Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene.

I admit this isn’t a favourite destination and I don’t really find much appealing about it, however, it does make for a short break or stop-over.

 

Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music.

On man-made islands just offshore is Atlantis, the Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks.

My pro-cam malfunctioned while visiting and I had to resort to filming on my iPhone 5S so missed many video opportunities, but I tried my best, unfortunately, lack of battery also contributed to lost shots.
